About The Book:
When promises are meant to be broken, a Sigma Male still finds a way to remain faithful to his girlfriend and go out of the way to help out his ex.
Detective Lux Kaska and her rookie partner and boyfriend, Ace Slavic, are tasked with solving Hamar’s murder. Their differing opinions and beliefs test their relationship. Things get complicated when Ace falls for Hamar's widow, Venus. Ace must now decide between Lux's honest dominance and Venus's deceitful submission.
As if dealing with personal demons wasn’t challenging enough. Hamar’s body refuses to decompose, and no one who knows him remembers that fateful day. Memory lagging behind the current moment makes everyone question if their experiences are real. Can the past manifest in the future, uncovering Hamar’s killer?
My Thoughts:
Have you ever read a book that made you dwell on its story even after finishing reading the same "Ace Umbra by PB Flower" done it to me. It kept me awake for a long time, even after I had finished reading it. The book’s plot has a brilliant mix of celestial characters, science fiction elements, romance, investigation, detective work, magic spells, and much more. Each chapter brings something unexpected, which makes it incredibly hard to put down the book. The rich world-building and dynamic characters make me feel as though I have stepped into a completely different reality.
The unpredictable twists in the plot are undoubtedly the standout feature of the book. The narrative took an unexpected turn and kept me on the edge of my seat. I’m sure any science fiction reader, especially those who enjoy mythology touch or its symbolization with modern AI technology based story, will surely fall in love with Ace Umbra just like I did.
