Review
How does it feel when your fake date falls in love with you and there is no going back?
This was the case with Kiara Sen whose story starts with a farewell meeting at a rehabilitation centre which was her home for the last 18 months. She was a bestselling author of two books when some uncertain circumstances occurred and she became an alcoholic.
This is a story of romance, redemption and self-love. It is very difficult to get away from a relationship even if you are depressed by it. This is what happened with the protagonist Kiara. Everything was good until she made a selfish decision or you can say, a mistake. She lost everything and everyone because of that mistake and ended up in a rehabilitation centre.
She decides to start a new life when she came back from the rehabilitation centre but there were a lot of surprises awaiting for her in the outer world. She meets a person named Raul, who rewrites her destiny.
This is a book that keeps in view the importance of good friendship and family, demerits of alcohol and redemption. Kiara is a lesson. A lesson for all of us not to repeat the same mistake she has done. This is a short and fast paced story which you can complete in one go. The author has done a great job in keeping surprise elements in between each lines.
I think it would have been better if there were more details about the relationship between Kiara and Jake, providing more background of their story. And I think Kiara's love after coming back from rehabilitation center happened too fast.
Overall a very good story and a light read. Easy-to-read language and lovable characters. Fast paced and easy going.
