Bottom Of My Heart : Review
This story surprised me in how much I enjoyed it. It seemed like it was going to be the same old, same old after a lovely beginning. I did, however, come to really appreciate the tale along the way and fell in love with both of the main characters. The writing is decent, pleasant, and overall makes for a good romance read.
Leo and Jane had been friends since they were little. Leo was always smitten with Jane as he grew up. He even considered the possibility of falling in love with her. However, his sentiments were not reciprocated because Jane just saw him as a "little brother." Worse yet, Jane's declaration of her love for Ben and Jane's marriage to Ben left him feeling crushed. Now that Jane's marriage has failed after a few months, Leo has another opportunity to reconcile with her. That's where the real story begins.
One of the things I liked most about this book was how well the characters clicked. Many of the scenes in this book made me laugh. One of the interesting book couples I've read about is Leo and Jane, I suppose. I did, however, love the story as a whole, despite the somewhat obvious way it ended. It is also simple, yet the simplicity is graceful. The plot itself isn't very eye-catching; it doesn't rely on tricks or ask the reader to take notice. It is merely a simple tale of a boy and a girl who developed a love for one another. I wholeheartedly advise everyone to try this!
You can essentially anticipate this novel to be light, sweet, cuteness overload, and scorching hot. It's my first Shiva Tiwari read and I found her writing tasteful. I will most certainly read her other works soon!
