As Night Falls : Review
AS NIGHT FALLS by Alka Dimri Saklani is a breathtaking, thrilling, unputdownable, and suspenseful murder mystery thriller novel that had me totally engrossed and interested right from the very first page. I was so intrigued in finding out what happened to Samaira that I was racing through those pages as fast as I could!
The last time anyone saw Myra, a well-known Bollywood actress, she was fighting with her sister Samaira on a beach. Myra was discovered gravely hurt after a few days and is currently in a coma. But there has been no sign of Samaira for four months.
Samaira is still missing, and ACP Yash Arora, who is in love with her, is still looking for her. The murder of renowned film producer Mohan Chandani was handed to Yash in the interim. The similarities between this murder and one that occurred 17 years earlier shocked him when he arrived at the crime scene.
The story is well-written and told in alternating points of view with brief chapters to make it easy to read quickly. The characters are flawed, believable, and compelling. It was simple to read the next chapter after finishing the previous one, and before I knew it, the book was over!
As a result of the author's passion and heart in her writing, I can't help but feel for so many of these characters, which is why I adore her writing so much. Also, I loved how she drops hints for the tale along the way that we readers can immediately pick up on and begin to question and speculate about.
The ending was quite pleasant for me and I thoroughly appreciated this narrative. Definitely recommend!
